Boca Raton & Delray Beach · Palm Beach County

Foundation repair in Boca Raton & Delray Beach, FL.

Boca Raton sits just over the Palm Beach County line from our Deerfield Beach office, with Delray Beach right above it. Homeowners here usually call about cracking around the outside of the house, walls that have started to settle, or a patio sinking beside the pool.

Over the county line

Foundations in Boca Raton & Delray Beach.

Cross the Hillsboro Canal into Palm Beach County and the homes change from one street to the next, from gated communities to older neighborhoods.

Here is the kind of property our team sees on this side of the line:

  • Boca West, Broken Sound, Woodfield and St AndrewsGated communities of single-family homes.
  • Lake IdaA neighborhood of single-family houses in Delray.
  • Kings PointA large 55+ community on the Delray side.
  • Pools and patiosBack patios and pool decks behind some of the houses.

Cracking that runs around the outside of a house is a common reason people here pick up the phone. A home on NW 5th Avenue had exactly that, and a house on Temple Drive had walls that were settling.

The ground under a house is not always the same from one end to the other. Loose fill can squeeze down under the weight above it, and water draining off a roof or patio can wash fine soil out from under a slab.

Todd Shawhan or another member of our team looks at the house, then talks you through what is happening and which repairs make sense. Nobody will push you toward work the house does not need.

Homes & builders

Piers, piles and pool decks.

The crews who do the work are SCFS employees, on repairs to existing homes and on new builds alike.

For homeowners

Fixing a settling house

Most of our jobs here have used push piers, set under the foundation where the house has moved. On a home on Paulus Court, our crew added six helical piles as well.

Helical piles are steel shafts with helix plates, turned into the ground with special equipment. Which one suits your house depends on what we find, and we explain the choice before you decide anything.

The work carries our Lifetime Warranty. Financing is available too, through options such as Ygrene.

For builders & pool contractors

New builds and pool projects

General contractors and pool contractors working in these two cities can use us for new construction piles. Send the plans, the engineering and the site address, and we will scope the foundation support with you.

Nicole Barrett-Hurt handles permitting and coordination on our side and keeps your build schedule in view.

Owners of commercial property can also call us for foundation repair or concrete restoration.

FAQ

Boca Raton & Delray Beach foundation FAQ

Do you cover Palm Beach County from Deerfield Beach?

Yes. Palm Beach County is one of the four counties we serve, and Boca Raton and Delray Beach sit just north of our office.

Push piers or helical piles: which one does my house need?

It depends on the house and on what we find at the site. A home on Paulus Court in Boca Raton ended up with both, and we always explain the reason for our choice before you decide.

My patio by the pool is sinking. Can it be fixed?

In many cases, yes. We supported a settling pool patio in Delray Beach with push piers, and we check yours first so we can tell you honestly what it needs.

Is a permit needed for foundation work in Boca Raton or Delray Beach?

It depends on the job. Nicole Barrett-Hurt manages permitting for us, so we work out what your repair requires and take care of it.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. We visit, look at the problem and explain your options at no cost.
